The Secretary of the Interior and Local Government (SILG), Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla, accompanied by Albay Governor Noel E. Rosal, visited Albay to inspect the display of disaster preparedness equipment and assets. The showcase featured specialized equipment from Albay Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Mapping Section, assisted by Mr. Roderick Mendoza, Officer-in-Charge of APSEMO and Mr. Eugene Escobar, Head of Albay EMS. The event was also participated in by all Albay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (DRRMOs) and uniformed units, highlighting the province’s readiness and capabilities in disaster management.
Local Chief Executives (LCEs), Board Members, and Provincial Administrator Raul Rosal attended an exclusive meeting and dialogue with SILG Remulla. Also present were Undersecretary for Local Government Marlo L. Iringan, CESO III; DILG Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO III; and Provincial Director of DILG Albay, Ms. Rebecca O. Britanico. The event culminated with a short briefing and interview with media partners, led by the Philippine Information Agency, headed by Mr. Marlon Atun.
