The Provincial Government of Albay (PGA), through APSEMO, is now conducting a 3-Day Public Service Continuity Planning (PSPC) training, with OCD 5, in collaboration with the World Food Porgramme (WFP).

This training is focused on ensuring continuity of essential services during disasters, through integration of Incident Command System (ICS) to the cluster approach under RA 10121.

This shall improve coordination between Incident Management Teams (IMT) and response clusters in Albay during emergency response operations.

This capacity building is attended by DRRM Council cluster members composed of PGA Departments and Offices and Albay DRRMO, held at Ninongs hotel Legazpi City.

APSEMO, together with the Albay humanitarian team, has started serving families affected by Severe Tropical Storm ‘Opong’ in Barangays Syndicate, Panique, Bangon, and Aroroy in Masbate. The team has provided potable water to residents to ensure a sufficient water supply as the community strives to recover from the storm’s impact.
