Gov. Noel Ebriega Rosal and APSEMO Head Bobby Cristobal visited the PHIVOLCS station today, November 3, 2026, following a minor Strombolian eruption from Mayon Volcano.
According to the official PHIVOLCS Eruption Notification, the brief activity began at 8:22 AM and produced a grayish ash/steam plume rising 1,600 meters (5,249 feet) above the crater, drifting toward the southwest.
PDRRM Chair and APSEMO Head, continue to closely track the volcano’s activity to ensure public safety and coordinate appropriate emergency responses.
The public are advised to stay vigilant, avoid entering the 6-kilometer Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ), and wear face masks or cover their mouths with a damp cloth to protect against ash fall.
