Humanitarian Mission Meeting to Masbate due to Severe Tropical Storm “OPONG”

𝐈𝐍 ππ‡πŽπ“πŽπ’: The members of the Albay Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) convened for an emergency meeting for the humanitarian mission to Masbate at the Provincial Disaster Operation Center (PDOC).

APSEMO OIC Roderick Mendoza confirmed that the PGA will extend Php 1 million in financial aid and will deploy a 20-personnel water and sanitation team and 4 water lorries to typhoon-hit Masbate to provide potable water, identified as a top priority by the provincial government and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).

APSEMO, together with the Albay humanitarian team, has started serving families affected by Severe Tropical Storm ‘Opong’ in Barangays Syndicate, Panique, Bangon, and Aroroy in Masbate. The team has provided potable water to residents to ensure a sufficient water supply as the community strives to recover from the storm’s impact.
